Emergency Department Registered Nurse - ER Specialty

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

This position is for night shifts, requiring 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00, with a minimum of every other weekend and holidays.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in ER nursing to provide quality care to patients. The ideal candidate will have experience in a general emergency department setting, combined adult/pediatric care, and possess a comprehensive understanding of cardiac monitoring and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Assessing and triaging patients in emergency situations.
• Administering medications and IV therapy, including IV vasopressors and blood products.
• Monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms, and managing dysrhythmias.
• Implementing isolation precautions and following best practices for safety.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (all via AHA)
• Preferred certifications: CPI/CIC (can be obtained after 3 months).
• Experience with electronic medical records systems, preferably Meditech.
