Required Positions and Shifts

• One (1) Night Shift Position: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Two (2) Day Shift Positions: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Note: Candidates must specify which shift they are applying for.

Candidate Requirements

• Preferred Experience: Experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center is preferred, but experience at a Level 2 Trauma Center is required and will be accepted.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department.
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• Pediatric Certification (One of the following):
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
                                 OR
  • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)

Description/Roles & Responsibilities:

• Preferred Experience: Experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center is preferred, but experience at a Level 2 Trauma Center is required and will be accepted.
  
  Provide rapid assessment, triage, and treatment to patients presenting with acute illnesses or injuries.
• Prioritize and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
• Initiate and administer IV fluids, medications, and emergency interventions as ordered.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and patient responses to treatment.
• Assist physicians during emergency procedures such as intubations, central line insertions, and wound care.
• Perform and interpret basic diagnostic tests, including ECGs and point-of-care testing.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and radiology staff, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
