Job Title: Perm Certified Surgical Tech (CST) – General Surgery (Days)

Schedule: Full-Time | Days (Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Type: Permanent
Call: 2–3 nights/week + every 3rd weekend
Hourly Rate: Based on experience

Job Summary:

Weeks Medical Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join its Operating Room team. The CST will support surgical procedures across multiple specialties, including general surgery, ortho, podiatry, urology, endoscopy, and pain management. This role requires clinical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining sterile fields and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain the sterile surgical field before and during procedures
Anticipate surgical team needs and handle instruments/supplies accordingly
Support general, orthopedic, podiatric, urologic, and endoscopic cases
Ensure all surgical equipment is functioning properly
Follow all infection control and hospital safety protocols
Participate in on-call rotation and weekend coverage as scheduled

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program (ARC/STSA) – Required
BLS Certification (AHA) – Required
NBSTSA Certification – Required within 1 year of hire (must maintain)
Military-trained candidates will be considered
2+ years of recent experience in an acute care setting – Preferred
