Join our team as a Cook, where you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare setting. This role involves a rotating schedule over two weeks, with shifts from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm. In this position, you will be responsible for all steps of food preparation and cooking, utilizing both grills and ovens for large-scale food production.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook food using grills and ovens for large-scale production.
• Perform dishwashing and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Conduct tray preparation and ensure timely delivery to rooms.
• Manage buffet-style and walk-up counter services in the caf.

Essential Skills:

• 3+ years of cooking experience in high-volume locations such as hospitals, corporate kitchens, or universities.
• Proficiency in food service and food preparation.
• ServSafe certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Good team player with excellent communication skills.
• Experience working in a kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windham, Connecticut.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
