DoubleTree by HiltonAbilene Downtown Convention Centeris looking for a Line Cook to join the Culinary Department! This hotel islocated across the street from the Abilene Convention Center in the heart of downtown, among restaurants and businesses.

The ideal candidate will hold comparable experience in culinary and have full availability to work the ever-changing schedule of hospitality. This is a fantastic opportunity for those seeking to begin their hospitality career.

Shift Pattern : This role requires full flexibility with schedules, AM, MID and PM shifts, starting as early as 5AM and ending as late as 11.30PM, weekends and holidays availability required.

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

What will I be doing?

As a Line Cook, you would be responsible for preparing, maintaining and monitoring quality control for hot food items in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Prepare, maintain and monitor quality control for hot food items including, but not limited to, meat, fish, fowl, sauces, stocks and seasonings
n
• Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
n
• Prepare guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
n
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times
n
• Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen and ensure plates are clean and appetizing
n
• Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
n
