Join our growing team at VCA VREC of Westbury and help provide exceptional care to pets in our community! We're seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician for our Emergency and Critical Care department on our OVERNIGHT shifts at our 24-hour Emergency/Specialty hospital.

Potential Schedule : Full time (3) 12 hr shifts

Compensation : $29 - $38 / hour based on skill set, and licensure status (LVT)

VTS $40-44/ hr

Plus

$2 overnight differential 8p-8a every night

$4 weekend differential available Friday 8p- Mon 8a**

Sign on bonus is paid as $2,500 after 90 days, and $2,500 after 1 year of employment

Licensed Veterinary Technician Duties:

• Procedural anesthesia monitoring

• Ability to calculate drug doses

• Full Technician Skill Utilization

• Venipuncture / IVC placement

• Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)

• Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services

• Providing compassionate care for all patients

• Imaging and advanced procedures

• Paid on-call availability

• Minimum 1 year experience
