Role Overview

This position involves working with a Co-Occurring Disorders (COD) team that provides integrated treatment for clients with both mental health and substance use disorder diagnoses.

Shift Information:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM

Wednesday: 8:00 AM 6:00 PM (late night group)

Extra time on Wednesday is flexed during the week (AM or PM)

Client Population:

This team works with clients who have both mental health and substance use disorder diagnoses.

Services provided: Integrated Treatment for Co-Occurring Disorders

Must-Have Skills:

Flexibility clients may be unreliable due to homelessness and/or relapse

Licensure Preferred:

Fully licensed: LPC, LCSW

Provisionally licensed: PLPC, LMSW

OR holds a qualifying substance use disorder credential (QAPC), such as:

CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, CCJP, CCDP, CCDP-D, RADC

Job Responsibilities:

Meet with clients in the community or office

Help clients develop coping skills to encourage harm reduction (less substance use)

Support clients in achieving personal treatment goals such as employment and stable housing

Overview:

BJC Behavioral Health is a community health center that provides and coordinates behavioral health services for more than 8,000 seriously mentally ill adults and seriously emotionally disturbed children in:

St. Louis City

St. Louis County

St. Francois County

Iron County

Washington County

As an Administrative Agent of the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), BJC Behavioral Health serves as a major point of entry for people eligible for mental health services funded by DMH and acts as a gatekeeper to the public mental health system.

Preferred Qualifications:

Role Purpose: Responsible for providing ongoing treatment to persons identified with Co-Occurring Disorders. Maintain fidelity standards for the Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) program.

Responsibilities:

Provide clinical supervision for IDDT team members seeking CCDP certification from the Missouri Certification Board

Plan and conduct individual sessions, group education, and group counseling in accordance with IDDT fidelity standards

Complete Co-Occurring Evaluations per IDDT fidelity standards

Review, sign, and contribute to treatment plans for co-occurring clients

Maintain and monitor fidelity to the IDDT program

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Master's Degree

Experience: 25 years

Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver's License

Preferred Requirements:

Experience: 510 years

Supervisor Experience: 2 years

Licenses & Certifications:

Certification in Co-Occurring Disorders

LCSW or LPC
