Position Summary
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will support, implement, and monitor patient care in a timely and efficient manner.
Position Requirements
- Current licensure by the State of Tennessee.
- Graduation from an approved nursing program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
- Patient care delivery experience.
- Ability to work under pressure, function both dependently and independently, and apply basic nursing knowledge flexibly.
- Experience with order entry systems, telemetry, medication systems, and other relevant equipment.
Physical Requirements
- Proficiency in English communication, both verbal and written.
- Physical stamina for standing and working up to twelve hours a day.
- Ability to push/pull objects weighing up to 175 lbs.
- Capacity to assist in lifting and turning patients weighing up to 250 lbs. with support.
Performance Standards
- Revise and personalize patient care plans based on identified needs and nursing diagnoses.
- Assist with patient education and facilitate discharge planning.
- Demonstrate autonomy in administering treatments and using equipment.
- Ensure the safe handling of medications and solutions per hospital protocols.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, modifying care plans as needed.
- Document care accurately and promptly.
- Maintain a healing environment for patients and families.
- Adhere to position-specific qualifications and engage in staff development.
- Communicate effectively and maintain a professional workspace.
