Position Overview

As a Licensed Practical Nurse Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing staff assignments and ensuring quality resident care. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assigning duties according to policies and striving for fair distribution of tasks.
• Encouraging collaboration within the team to ensure effective and timely resident care.
• Conducting rounds to assess residents and report any concerns to relevant staff immediately.
• Receiving reports from charge nurses and compiling shift reports for the Director of Nursing.
• Communicating significant events or concerns to the Director of Nursing promptly.
• Managing and, if necessary, disciplining staff while empowering them to take on responsibilities and accountability.
• Setting measurable goals for staff and reinforcing professionalism in the workplace.
• Acting as a resource for nursing personnel and seeking guidance when needed.
• Utilizing sound nursing judgment to manage direct patient care.
• Reviewing and adapting care plans based on resident assessments, collaborating closely with Charge Nurses.
• Identifying appropriate nursing interventions linked to care plans and documenting education provided to residents and families.
• Exhibiting clinical competence in assessing the various needs of residents.
• Supporting Charge Nurses in maintaining clinical competencies and making appropriate referrals.
• Remaining informed about emergency procedures and emphasizing safety protocols.
• Completing monthly QAPI assessments and monitoring pharmacy recommendations.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid LPN license in the state of employment.
• Preferred: Two years of supervisory experience in long-term care.
• Three to five years of long-term care or similar nursing experience.
• Excellent verbal communication skills for effective interactions with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities to meet productivity standards.
• Physical capability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
• Able to lift and move residents safely, with assistance as necessary.
• Competence in pushing and pulling equipment weighing over 40 lbs using appropriate techniques.
• Manual dexterity and coordination for working with residents and medical equipment.
• Proficient in documentation and record-keeping.
• Must maintain visual acuity for patient assessments.
• Able to manage diverse responsibilities effectively.

Pay Range: $61,604 - $97,375 annually
