Unit Summary – Burk Unit

The Burk Unit provides long-term and post-acute care services to patients with a wide variety of medical and rehabilitation needs. Our dedicated team focuses on individualized care, ensuring that each patient receives the highest quality support in a respectful and compassionate environment. Staff on the Burk Unit are collaborative, caring, and committed to patient well-being.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse/Director of Nursing, the LPN:

Provides skilled nursing care using a general understanding of the principles of nursing and physical assessment.
Assists in the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
Ensures residents’ needs are met through compassionate and high-quality care.
Oversees daily operations of the unit on a per-shift basis and assumes leadership responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (diploma).
Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Maryland (or compact state).
AHA CPR Certification.
Basic computer skills and experience with: Synquest, IV Pumps, Phillips Monitoring System, Accucheck, EKG Machine, and specialty bed operation.
Less than one year of experience required; new graduates welcome to apply.
