The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care, addressing the psychological and physical needs of patients in accordance with established care plans and nursing protocols. Care is offered across a wide range of ages, from infants to seniors, and may be delivered in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, home health, or hospice environments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain individualized, goal-oriented care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
2. Monitor, document, and report patient responses to treatments and therapies, adjusting care priorities as needed.
3. Participate in departmental initiatives and contribute to positive health outcomes through service enrichment activities.
4. Administer diverse treatments and therapies, including respiratory treatments, medication administration, and patient education based on established plans.
5. Assist patients and families during admissions, providing guidance and support for a smooth experience and discharge process.
6. Support and reassure patients and families during their healthcare journey, utilizing effective coping strategies.

Additional Information:

Education Requirements: Graduation from a state-accredited practical nurse program.

Licensure/Certification Requirements: Must hold an active LPN license in North Carolina and require Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Experience Requirements: No prior experience is required.

Skills and Qualifications: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to provide compassionate care, and a commitment to working collaboratively within a healthcare team.
