Licensed Practical Nurse - Endocrinology

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care that addresses both psychological and physical needs, following established care plans, physician orders, and departmental policies.

In this dynamic role, you'll care for patients from neonates to geriatrics, delivering support in various settings such as inpatient care, ambulatory services, home health, or hospice. Your contributions will have a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain personalized, goal-oriented care plans, collaborating with healthcare professionals to meet the needs of patients and caregivers.
2. Observe, assess, document, and communicate patient responses to treatment and therapy while adjusting care priorities based on patient and caregiver needs.
3. Engage in unit and department activities aimed at improving patient outcomes, including participation in committees, quality improvement initiatives, and staff training.
4. Administer a wide range of treatments and therapies, including respiratory care, medication administration, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with medical procedures.
5. Provide guidance and support to patients and families during admissions and discharges, ensuring a smooth hospital or clinic experience.
6. Effectively communicate with and support patients, employing de-escalation strategies and age-appropriate coping techniques when necessary.

Additional Information:

Education Requirements: Graduation from a state-accredited practical nursing program is required.

Licensure/Certification Requirements: Must hold a valid LPN license in North Carolina and current BLS certification.

Professional Experience Requirements: A minimum of two years of previous LPN experience is required.
