Position Summary
As a Licensed Medical Social Worker, you will be an integral part of our team, providing guidance and short-term counseling to patients and their families dealing with illness, lifestyle changes, and financial concerns resulting from their hospitalization. Your role will include:

• Providing psychosocial, alcohol, and drug assessments, along with short-term counseling and discharge planning.
• Collaborating with physicians, staff, and community agencies to ensure a smooth discharge process.
• Alleviating patient and family anxiety through effective communication and development of discharge plans.
• Understanding and adhering to regulations related to CMS, Commercial Payers, and Bundle programs.

Position Requirements
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master's degree in social work or a comparable Master's level degree.
• Licensure by Tennessee Health Related Boards in Social Work (LCSW preferred).
• Experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Environment and Effort
The role encompasses working in both office and clinical settings with potential exposure to hazardous materials. A required weekend rotation is part of the job, and candidates should be able to walk short distances, lift 10-15 lbs, and possess visual and hearing acuity.
