Salary: $1590 / Week

Licensed Addiction Counselor - White Plains, MD

Position Details:

• MUST be licensed in MD (CAC-AD Preferred / CSC-AD)

• Substance Abuse Counselor/Addiction Counselor

• Full time

• Monday-Friday

• Flexible on schedule: 8a-430p, 9a-530p or 930a-6p

• 26 week assignment

• Will need to complete IOP training at some point

Position Summary:

The Licensed Addiction Counselor provides one on one drugand alcohol consultation to patients/clients; along with individual and grouptherapy in a variety of settings including inpatient and outpatient programs.The Licensed Addiction Counselor also provides crisis intervention and assistswith behavioral health needs and issues including mental illness, developmentaland learning disabilities, substance use, etc.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, social work orpublic health required

• Current license or certificate in addictions/substance abusecounseling in the state of assignment required

• Experience in behavioral health guidelines, to includebehavioral health assessments, individual and group therapy, clinicalmanagement of patients with mental illness and / or substance abuse issuespreferred

• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
