Location: Tampa, FL

Compensation: $28$30/hr (Overtime paid at time-and-a-half, when applicable)

Schedule: MondayFriday, standard business hours

Apex Systems is seeking a Lead Technician to join our enterprise security client in Tampa, FL. We are actively screening qualified candidates for interviews this week and next.

Overview

This role involves traveling to new and existing customer sites to install, program, and troubleshoot enterprise-level security and access systems.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot, program, and test enterprise security systems with minimal supervision
• Work with systems including access control, IP video surveillance, intrusion detection, and visitor management
• Troubleshoot and program networked IP video systems
• Troubleshoot and program networked access control systems
• Service commercial intrusion alarm systems and other IoT-connected systems
• Deliver exceptional customer service in all client interactions

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience troubleshooting and programming networked access control and IP video systems, including work on customer networks
• Experience programming Lenel, ProWatch, and Genetec systems
• Minimum 2 years of experience servicing and programming commercial access control, IP-based video systems, and intrusion alarm systems

Preferred Qualifications ("Nice to Haves")

• Previous employment with companies such as Convergent or SecureTop
• Certifications in Lenel and Genetec
• Demonstrated proficiency with Mercury board-based systems
• Experience setting up Mercury board controllers
• Hands-on programming experience with Lenel, ProWatch, and Genetec
