Teacher Position

The Goddard School in Edgewater, MD is currently hiring teachers for all classrooms! Our ideal teachers will love and nurture our children while helping to build a foundation for early childhood development. A passion for creating an environment of kindness and character development are a must!

Teacher Requirements:

• Kindness and strong character
• Desire to nurture children and help them to grow to help make the world a better place
• CDA or associate's degree in early childhood education or related field (not required, but preferred)
• 45 hour infant/toddler certificate or 90 hour preschool certificate preferred. School is willing to provide tuition assistance, if not currently certified.
• EEC certification preferred (will work with you to get certified)
• Must be able to work between the hours of 7:00AM 6:00PM

Teacher Responsibilities:

• Implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum
• Providing positive guidance by supporting social and emotional development
• Establishing positive and productive relationships with families
• Ensuring a well-run program by developing lesson plans and building teamwork
• Understanding and implementing Goddards health & safety procedures

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift

• Edgewater, MD: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Teaching: 1-3 years (Preferred)
• Childcare: 1-3 years (Preferred)
