Join our dynamic culinary team as a Lead Production Cook! In this role, you will play a crucial part in preparing delicious and safe meals following standardized recipes while ensuring food safety and sanitation procedures are strictly followed. Your expertise in using kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and broilers will contribute to our commitment to excellence in food service.
As the Lead Cook, you will be responsible for:
- Scheduling and assigning daily activities to team members while supervising task completion.
- Training staff on food safety, sanitation, and cooking techniques.
- Cooking and preparing food according to production guidelines.
- Setting up workstations with necessary ingredients and equipment.
- Measuring, weighing, and preparing food items efficiently.
- Using kitchen tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Employing various cooking methods, including baking, roasting, and broiling.
- Arranging, garnishing, and portioning food in accordance with established standards.
- Storing food properly while adhering to safety protocols.
- Cleansing and sanitizing equipment and work areas.
- Delivering exceptional customer service with a positive attitude.
- Following safety policies and contributing to a secure working environment.
- Maintaining production records and work schedules.
This role requires previous supervisory experience and a deep understanding of food preparation principles and food safety regulations. A food safety certification is a must. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Physical demands may include lifting, bending, and prolonged standing. Uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required as part of the role.
