The Verizon Cyber Security (VCS) organization is at the forefront of protecting our valuable assets and information across networks, infrastructure, and applications. We are currently seeking an experienced Lead Penetration Testing Expert to join our dynamic Enterprise Pen Test team.

In this role, you will collaborate with a talented group of thinkers who challenge the status quo to ensure the security of our infrastructure and applications, including web, mobile, and API platforms. As an instrumental leader on our team, you'll devise innovative strategies to assess vulnerabilities and enhance our defenses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive penetration tests on complex web applications, APIs, and mobile applications.
• Analyze multifaceted issues and develop effective solutions.
• Design and implement plans that address broad security goals with minimal guidelines.
• Utilize creative thinking to tackle challenges and strengthen our security posture.
• Safely configure and use advanced attack tools within Verizon environments.
• Create detailed and accurate reports for various stakeholders, including technical and executive audiences.
• Guide and advise on vulnerability impacts and remediation strategies across the organization.
• Shape and communicate the penetration testing strategy to enhance overall security standards.
• Work directly with technical teams to ensure pragmatic vulnerability corrections.
• Mentor junior penetration testers, sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Lead efforts to innovate and improve our offensive security capabilities.

Your Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant experience, including application and network penetration testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in engineering, cyber security, or computer science.
• Experience in application development and knowledge of secure coding practices.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and tools, including OWASP guidelines.
• Expertise in tools for web, mobile, API, and network security testing.
• Certifications in penetration testing or cybersecurity.
• Strong knowledge of modern operating systems and programming languages.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while fostering a culture of continuous learning.

The annual salary range for this position is: $120,500.00 - $231,000.00.
