Hours: Monday thru Friday 7am to 5pm

Job Description:

The Lead Painter is responsible for applying spray clear coat finishes by hand to achieve premium, high-end results. The role involves working with wood products, including millwork, cabinetry, and custom pieces, and applying lacquer, stains, and other finishes as needed. The Lead Painter is expected to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while managing their own department with occasional help from the team to ensure quality and efficiency. Adapting to company processes, products, and standards is also a key part of the job.

Responsibilities:

• Apply spray clear coat finishes by hand to achieve premium results.
• Work with wood products such as millwork, cabinetry, and custom pieces.
• Apply lacquer, stains, and other necessary finishes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Manage a department independently, ensuring quality and efficiency.
• Adapt to company processes, products, and standards.

Skills:

• Proficiency in using spray guns for paint preparation.
• Experience in cabinetry, sanding, and clear coat spraying to produce flawless finishes.
• Understanding of lacquer and stain application.
• Strong attention to detail for ensuring defect-free surfaces.
• Effective time management and reliability, with a consistent start time of 6:30 AM.
• Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
• Workplace organization skills to keep tools, materials, and workspace efficient.
• Quality control experience to meet high-end standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
