Lead Network Engineering and Operations Manager

Leidos is seeking a Lead Network Engineering and Operations Manager to support operations on a high-profile DoD contract. The Integrated Information Technology Support Services program provides enterprise-wide IT support for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) to consolidate, modernize, and maintain the delivery of IT services and mission capabilities to DTRA's internal and external mission partners operating worldwide.

This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of 13 IT professionals as the Network Engineering and Operations Manager, driving worldwide strategic and tactical communications initiatives for DTRA.

• Oversee and enhance operational team efforts to ensure proper installation, operation, and maintenance practices across three distinct DoD enclaves supporting over 5000 users with more than 7500 endpoint devices globally.

• Effectively communicate project and policy-related information to government and civilian stakeholders at all levels of technical and operational leadership.

• Provide strategic leadership and operational support for the enterprise-wide IT network, ensuring peak performance and reliability.

• Ensure compliance with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guide for all network equipment, maintaining stringent cybersecurity standards.

• Supervise circuit action support utilizing DISA Storefront for circuit activation, maintenance, and decommissioning, ensuring efficiency and timely service.

• Initiate and manage Remedy and ServiceNow requests for change and configuration management, promoting proactive IT practices.

• Offer networking technical expertise and validate Bill of Material requests to support network architecture modernization initiatives.

• Deliver clear and concise written and oral communications, including developing and presenting briefs at the CEO / SES level to convey critical information effectively.

• Develop and execute Plans of Action & Milestones to address identified cybersecurity vulnerabilities and enhance security controls within the organization’s information systems.

Basic Qualifications:

• BS degree and 10+ years of prior relevant experience. Specific experience, education, and training may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Experience managing and supervising at least 5 employees across various roles and skills in a complex medium to large IT infrastructure program (preferably within the Department of Defense).

• Active Security+ CE and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certifications.

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree and 15+ years of prior relevant experience.

• Cisco Certified Network Practitioner certification.

• ITIL4 Foundations and higher.

• Experience with technologies such as Cisco Identity Services Engine, Cisco Layer 2 & 3 switches and routers, Cisco Unified Call Manager, Dell Versa, F5 Load Balancer, and General Dynamics Tactical Local Area Network Encryptors.
