Job Title: Lead Field Engineer (Building Automations Specialist)

Job Description

As a Lead Field Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the field commissioning of building automation systems tailored for each customer. We seek a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused team member who exemplifies leadership for other field engineers. You will address complex problems, guide less experienced engineers, and act as a technical expert in the field.

Responsibilities

  Initiate, install, troubleshoot, and optimize customer systems utilizing advanced Direct Digital Control technology.

  Serve as the local contact for technical issues and provide effective solutions for complex system problems.

• n

  Ensure systems operate properly, including controls, sensors, and software.

• n

  Load software, configure trends, alarms, and reports, and implement time management strategies to ensure customer satisfaction.

• n

  Communicate and document project status and details for the customer.

  n

• n

  Provide site-specific training to owners/operators on the complete system.

  n
n

Essential Skills

• n

  Experience in HVAC, computer, electrical, and field technician work.

  n

• n

  Proficiency in controls, building automation, and troubleshooting.

  n

• n

  Knowledge of TCP/IP and field service electronics.

  n
n
• n

  Ability to use tools like an oscilloscope.

  n
n

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• n

  High School Diploma or GED.

  n
n
• n

  4+ years of experience in Building Automation, HVAC, or related field.

  n
n
• n

  Preferred Bachelor’s degree, Associate Degree, or Technical/Business School Certificate in HVAC, Controls, or related field.

  n

• n

  Proficiency with advanced building automation software, such as WebCTRL.

  n
n
• n

  Expertise with TCP/IP networks, including wireless technology.

  n
n
• n

  Experience with Siemens Insight, Desigo, or WebCTRL.

  n
n
• n

  Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

  n
n
• n

  Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.

  n
n

Work Environment

Typical hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with no on-call shifts in the installation group. Candidates must be capable of climbing ladders and lifting items up to 50lbs if necessary.

Job Type

This is a Contract to Hire position.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $44.00/hr.
