Job Description Summary

As a Lead Engineer in the CFD and Methods team within the Aero-Thermal Mechanical Systems organization, you will perform research and development in computational fluid dynamics towards the development of next generation technologies, for turbomachinery and non-tradition turbomachinery products.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  Execute tasks using your technical skills for projects in the field of computational fluid dynamics.

  Define requirements and execute design practices using proprietary and commercial CFD solvers, analysis systems and databases to predict the structural response of mechanical components and systems.

  Drive the development of high-fidelity computational analyses techniques

  Participate in the definition and execution of experiments to validate analytical results.

  Work with other support functions and/or external suppliers to meet project deliverables.

• n

  Prepare and participate in project and technical reviews. Deliver presentations, reports, and publications to engineering staff, GE businesses and external agencies.

  Provide expertise to help resolve technical challenges across the organization.

  Collaborate in the development of internal and external project proposals and initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

n
• n

  Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related discipline with a strong background in computational fluid dynamics with a minimum of 3 years of industrial experience, or a master's in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related disciplines with at least 6 years of experience in computational fluid dynamics in an industrial environment.
