About the Team

The New to Credit Data Science team focuses on developing machine learning models that drive informed marketing and risk decisions throughout the credit card lifecycle. We engage in advanced modeling techniques, utilize alternative data sources, and create a robust infrastructure to enhance decision-making accuracy. Collaborating closely with data scientists, business analysts, and software engineers, you will help generate actionable insights that shape critical business strategies. Your Role

• Lead the development of machine learning models from design to implementation, focusing on training, evaluation, and validation.
• Utilize a variety of technologies, including Python, Conda, AWS, Spark, and Kubeflow Pipelines, to uncover insights from extensive data sets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create products that resonate with customers.
• Communicate complex technical concepts in a way that connects with business goals.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Excellent at handling large datasets, combining and analyzing information from various sources to extract meaningful insights.
• Proficient in statistical analysis and model building, with experience in validating and backtesting models.
• Technically adept with a strong foundation in open-source programming languages and cloud computing.
• Passionate about putting customers first and making data-driven decisions that benefit them.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or have obtained one of the following degrees:
• Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field with 5 years of data analytics experience.
• Master's Degree in a quantitative field or MBA with a quantitative focus plus 3 years of data analytics experience.
• PhD in a quantitative field.
• Preferred: Master's Degree in a STEM field with 3 years of data science experience or PhD in STEM.
• At least 1 year of AWS experience.
• At least 3 years of Python programming experience.
• At least 3 years of experience building machine learning models, including GBM models.
• At least 3 years of SQL experience.

This role is open to candidates requiring employment authorization. Salary ranges will vary based on location:

• Chicago, IL: $144,200 - $164,600
• McLean, VA: $158,600 - $181,000
• New York, NY: $173,000 - $197,400
