Lead Application Developer - SAP Operations

Job Purpose and Impact

• The Lead Application Developer serves as a pivotal thought leader in the Plan and Make domain, emphasizing business planning, inbound logistics, production, and transportation management. This role involves collaboration with business leaders, along with the capability to design, configure, maintain, integrate, and implement relevant software applications within the organization. Operating with minimal supervision, this position handles complex software application testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, and support to guarantee seamless and timely software implementation and updates.

Key Accountabilities

• SAP Requirements Solutioning: Responsible for capturing and analyzing business requirements. Research and recommend solution alternatives, implementing the preferred options.

• SAP Application Configuration Management: Develop complex application configurations that meet user and business needs while seeking improvements in complex application support processes and procedures.

• SAP Application Deployment: Execute advanced design, testing, and deployment for new developments, updates, or application version fixes.

• User Communication & Support: Maintain open communication channels with users to address complex application support requests and requirements.

• Application Support: Conduct intricate technical application support activities that drive successful business outcomes.

• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with multi-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and project leadership, to ensure solutions align with standards and project objectives.

• Workstream Leadership: Represent the Operations workstream to project leadership; manage workstream staffing and budget; mentor and develop team members.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience, often reflecting 5 or more years of pertinent experience.

Preferred Experience:

• Professional experience with functional and technical configuration in SAP, specifically with SAP-IBP, MM, and PP.
• Demonstrated experience in SAP within the Plan and Make space and an end-to-end process perspective on integrations.
• Proven track record in stakeholder management, with the ability to present to and influence executive leadership.
• Strong problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
