Lathe/Mills Machinist

Machinist

Join our team as a Machinist, where you will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art CNC machinery, including new equipment arriving from Sweden. This role requires a short training period in Sweden to ensure proficiency with the latest technology. We have openings across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, as well as a specialized tool and die position.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain CNC machinery that is no older than 10 years.
• Participate in training sessions in Sweden to learn about new machinery.
• Work with tooling managers and supervisors to ensure optimal operation of machines.
• Utilize skills in lathe and mill machining, including blueprint reading and setup.
• Program machines using G&M codes and create conversational programs.
• Engage in the setup and operation of EDM machines, as necessary.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in operating and programming CNC machines.
• Familiarity with G&M codes.
• Experience in lathe and mill machining.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Capability to set up and operate EDM machines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with EDM machines is a plus.
• Ability to create conversational programs.

Our manufacturing facility features numerous presses and operates in a non-temperature-controlled environment. It is a dynamic setting where you will be engaged in hands-on work with advanced machinery.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Surgoinsville, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
