Fiber Optic Laser Operator

We are seeking a skilled Fiber Optic Laser Operator to set up and operate automated fiber optic laser equipment, with a preference for experience using Mazak machines. The role involves programming machine movements and cycle speeds, performing laser alignment and nozzle checks, and conducting inspections to ensure high-quality production.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate automated fiber optic laser equipment (Mazak preferred).
• Program machine movement and cycle speed.
• Perform laser alignment and nozzle checks during setup.
• Load raw materials and unload processed parts and skeletons.
• Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Work with aluminum, steel, and stainless materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow production schedules and meet quality standards.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience operating and setting up Fiber Optic Laser machines with automation (Mazak preferred).
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints.
• Skilled in basic inspection of sheet metal parts.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs as needed.
• Proficient in using calipers, tape measures, and hand tools.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
