Join Our Team at Heart of Florida Landfill General Labor / Site Helper

Location: Lake Panasoffkee, Florida Pay Range: Starting at $19-$20 DOE, working 5055 hours per week

About the Role

We're seeking a reliable and safety-conscious General Laborer / Site Helper to support daily operations at our Heart of Florida Landfill. Prior experience in landfill or waste services is a plusbut we're happy to train motivated candidates who are ready to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general site and facility maintenance
• Assist with landscaping and groundskeeping
• Walk slopes and collect litter to maintain site cleanliness
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Receive training to operate heavy equipment and drive a semi tanker

Working Conditions

• Outdoor landfill environment with exposure to moving machinery, weather elements, and occasional airborne particles
• Clean, ventilated, and well-lit work areas
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and work on uneven terrain

What We're Looking For

• Valid driver's license
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
• Basic computer skills (emailing, scanning documents)
• Ability to analyze routine situations and make sound decisions
• Strong work ethic and dependability
