Press Operator / Machine Operator

Location: Shelbyville, Kentucky

1. Morning: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
2. Night: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM

Job Description

Operators will lead all aspects of press line operations, including changeovers, machine start-up, running, and shut-down. This role supports the company's goal of becoming World Class, with a strong emphasis on safety. Operators are expected to run jobs in accordance with customer specifications, manufacturing standards, print specifications, and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Accurately complete all required paperwork including production reports, job verification sheets, ink usage sheets, QA reports, roll tickets, and S.O.C sheets
• Collaborate with press assistants and pit crew to minimize job changeover and downtime
• Train and guide press assistants according to the assistant training matrix
• Comply with 5S and World Class Manufacturing initiatives, including cross-training and flexible work assignments
• Understand and uphold product safety standards
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Essential Skills

• Production experience
• Machine operating experience
• Experience with lamination
• Packaging experience
• Proficiency with hand tools

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and remain on feet throughout the shift
• Ability to enter data into a computer system and work independently
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Training provided on machinery

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $60000.00/yr.

Direct placement- benefits day 1-Review every 60 days for chance at hourly increase-Stipends and days off per company
