At SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, we are looking for a dedicated Lactation Consultant RN to provide exceptional lactation care and guidance. About the Role:

• Provide expert lactation care and education to breastfeeding mothers.
• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of lactation goals and challenges.
• Teach proper breastfeeding techniques and promote the benefits of breastfeeding.
• Act as a clinical resource and mentor within the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with staff and physicians on breastfeeding-related needs.
• Use evidence-based practices to ensure quality nursing care tailored to each patient.
• Maintain a safe and alert work environment.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Must possess the International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) credential.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum three years of experience as a registered nurse.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent communication and physical activities, including standing, walking, lifting, and data entry.
• Ability to lift/push/pull items weighing between 0-50 lbs.

Required Licenses:

• Registered Nurse (RN) license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required for applicable states.
• IBCLC certification is mandatory.

Work Schedule:

Day Shift, with a standard commitment of 36 hours per week.
