We are currently seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician to join our team in Baltimore, MD!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Primarily participates in management of biomaterials, including receipt, accessioning and shipping

• Supports primary sample processing through nucleic acid extraction

• Assists with routine lab and equipment maintenance

• Assists with reagent qualification

• Assists in SOP drafting and revision, where applicable

Requirements:

• Work schedule Tuesday - Saturday (8:30 - 5:00pm)

• Associate degree in biology, chemistry, or related life science. (Bachelor preferred)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with colleagues,

• leadership and other departments

• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook), Intermediate (or higher) proficiency with Excel preferred.

• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing

• exemplary customer service

• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

• Previous experience working in a clinical laboratory preferred

Pay Range: $22/hr - $26/hr

All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
