Biology Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Use a variety of lab equipment, including thermal cyclers and liquid handling machines, to process products.

• Perform a variety of PCR protocols and post-PCR cleanup steps.

• Demonstrate aseptic and sterile techniques to minimize contamination risks.

• Efficiently multitask while running multiple processes.

• Ensure accurate product records and utilize customer software in a Windows-based environment.

• Quantify and sample products for quality control tests.

• Troubleshoot product, process, or equipment problems.

• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience with PCR, DNA extraction, DNA sequencing, and liquid handling.

• Proficiency in gel electrophoresis and sterilization.

• Experience with sterile techniques and data sequencing.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Biology or a related scientific field is preferred, OR an Associate's degree in science plus 2 years of PCR experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.17 - $29.17/hr.
