Description

Leadership and management of a team of dedicated kernel engineers in a fast-paced and demanding development environment. Ownership of the kernel and other low-level software components. Creating and promoting a development environment that encourages innovation and sets high standards for quality and productivity. Identifying and mitigating risks in development activities. Strengthening the team by hiring and retaining diverse, top engineering talent.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience leading a systems software development team.
Proven track record of successful and timely product delivery.
History of setting bold yet attainable goals, and motivating teams to achieve them.
Evidence of driving technical innovation.

Preferred Qualifications

In-depth knowledge of and/or experience with kernel/OS internals.
Experience with macOS device drivers and IOKit.
Experience working with Linux/UNIX kernel.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $228,100 and $393,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
