In our 1:1 ABA setting, you will work directly with children aged 18 months to 8 years old, using ethical, evidence-based ABA techniques in a warm, center-based atmosphere. With excellent supervision, ongoing training, and a passionate team surrounding you, you’ll make a real impact every day!

What you'll do as a Behavior Therapist:

• Implement ABA Therapy: Apply one-on-one ABA principles to support children with Autism in reaching their full potential by following treatment plans, collecting data, documenting progress, and applying supervisor feedback.
• Facilitate Development: Engage children in early childhood (ages 18 months to 8 years) through fun therapeutic activities that promote growth and learning.
• Collaborate with Your Team: Work alongside other professionals to enhance treatment effectiveness, ensure safety, and create an enjoyable working experience.
• Engage with Children: Connect with kids through play, movement, and imitation, whether it’s running, dancing, singing songs, reading books, or playing with toys, all while maintaining an energetic and joyful atmosphere.
• Communicate Effectively: Foster positive interactions with colleagues, families, and supervisors to organize activities, celebrate successes, and advocate for children's needs.

Job Requirements:

• Physical Capability: Lift and move children in a fast-paced environment (up to 30 lbs); this includes bending, squatting, and moving quickly on the floor.
• Maintain a Therapeutic Environment: Ensure that play areas are clean, organized, and provide an engaging space for therapy.
• Multitasking Skills: Balance several tasks and conversations simultaneously while prioritizing safety for everyone involved.
• Team Support: Work cohesively as part of the center, community, and region; this might require travel to nearby centers as needed.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are mandatory.
• You must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree Required.

Complete the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification process within 20 days of employment, which includes passing a 40-hour training curriculum and a competency assessment.

Pay Ranges Based on Experience & Education:

Bachelor’s: $21.00 - $27.25
Master’s: $22.00 - $28.00

For entry-level candidates, your first raise comes upon certification as an RBT, which typically occurs within 21 days.

Preferred Experience:

• Childcare (nanny, babysitter, preschool teacher, tutor, etc.)
• Mental health advocacy (QMHP, behavioral health technicians)
• Camp counselors, volunteers, or Sunday school teachers
• Degrees in teaching, special education, sociology, psychology, or related fields (any degree is preferred)
• Experience as paraprofessionals, direct support staff, or life skills assistants
• A passion for working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
• A desire to join a caring, team-oriented culture
