Journeyman Systems Engineer

Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Journeyman Systems Engineer with an active Secret clearance to provide system/software engineering. This position will be located in Sterling, Virginia and will be a hybrid position.

Responsibilities

n
• n

  Provide system/software engineering to include requirements derivation, requirements analysis, hardware configuration, metrics analysis, and integration and test environments.

  n

• n

  Manage and maintain configuration and operation of computer systems and servers.

  n
n
• n

  Ensure uptime, performance, resources, and security of the computers, servers, and/or systems meet user requirements and align with IT policies and best practices.

  n

• n

  Maintain security policies.

  n
n
• n

  Automate system and /or application configurations and use tools and technologies as follows: Office 365 ProPlus, PowerShell, Azure, Active Directory, vSphere, Linux, RHEL, Unix, and other technologies; well-versed in infrastructure tools and technologies such as DNS, DHCP, VDI, SQL Server, IIS, Apache, SAN, Hyper-Converged, LAN, WLAN, VLAN, OSI model, TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, PKI, and/or AWS.

Qualifications

  High School with 6 - 9 years systems engineering (or commensurate experience)

  n

• n

  Secret clearance with ability to obtain and hold DEA suitability

Posted Pay Range
