PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Journeyman Plumbing Technician plays a crucial role in installing, repairing, and maintaining various plumbing systems and fixtures. This position requires a keen eye for diagnostics and problem-solving skills, coupled with a commitment to exceptional customer service. Duties include tasks such as repairing or replacing faucets, toilets, garbage disposals, domestic water lines, and drain lines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspect, install, repair, and replace pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures to ensure efficient water supply and waste disposal.
• Diagnose plumbing issues and implement effective solutions.
• Adhere to safety regulations and building codes, while identifying and addressing any compliance issues during repairs.
• Utilize a variety of tools and equipment, such as pipe cutters, reamers, threading machines, and welding equipment.
• Provide accurate estimates for customers regarding repair costs for damaged fixtures or piping.
• Maintain detailed records of all parts and materials used for repairs, replacements, or maintenance tasks.
• Encourage customers to explore additional services offered by Constellation Home.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in plumbing services.
• Valid gas fitter's license.
• Strong knowledge of residential plumbing services, including local plumbing and gas codes, tools, and materials.
• Advanced skills in servicing hot water and steam boilers.
• Proficient use of sewer cleaning machines.
• Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Average physical ability (bending, stooping, climbing ladders).
• Ability to lift and carry various weights.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
• Journeyman trade license in HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical.
• Valid driver's license required and must be maintained.
