Top Requirements

1. 5+ years of experience in Java and Spring Boot
2. 3+ years of experience with Oracle or MongoDB
3. 2+ years of experience with Kafka, REST APIs, Microservices/SOA, and Cloud (Azure, Kubernetes, Google, or PCF)

Plusses

1. Experience in front-end development using Angular or React
2. Experience with Oracle Service Bus and Wholesale Payments
3. Strong design background in Design Patterns, Domain-Driven Design, and Event-Based Integration
4. Experience leading and mentoring junior developers

This contingent Software Engineer 4 role supports complex, large-scale software engineering initiatives within the Technology and Data team. The engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications using modern technologies. The role requires deep technical expertise, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to work across multiple teams and platforms.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Work with databases such as Oracle or MongoDB and implement stored procedures
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and Microservices
• Implement messaging and streaming solutions using Kafka
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint deliverables
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders
• Contribute to cloud migration and containerization efforts
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical design and architecture decisions
• Ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements
