IVR Specialist

At SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital, located at 1201 Grand, we are looking for a dedicated IVR Specialist to become part of our healthcare family.

Job Summary:

As an IVR Specialist, you will perform specialized imaging procedures, including angio and neuro interventional and therapeutic procedures, assisting the Radiologist and Physician Assistant. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate imaging processes while delivering compassionate care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and position patients, ensuring the selection of appropriate anatomic and technical parameters.
• Administer contrast media and medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Monitor patients during procedures, reporting any abnormal activities, and suggest protocol updates as needed.
• Adhere to radiation safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and ensure all activities meet safety protocols.
• Exhibit a proactive and attentive demeanor in all tasks.
• Assist with additional duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

• Completion of a Radiology Technology program is required.
• No prior experience is necessary; we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn!

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Regularly use vision and hearing to communicate and assess patient needs.
• Capable of lifting and moving patients, as well as objects up to 50 lbs.
• Engage in physical activities including bending, stooping, and repetitive movements as part of job duties.

Required Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor - American Heart Association (AHA)
• ARRT-R Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• State-specific Radiologic Technologist certification (Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin).

Work Schedule:

Day shift availability is required, working approximately 40 hours per week.
