Investment Banking Analyst II - TMT - Selby Jennings

Our client is a boutique investment bank based in New York City, specializing in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) sectors. They provide M&A advisory, capital raising, and strategic consulting services to a diverse range of clients, from high-growth startups to established industry leaders.

Position Overview:

They are seeking a highly motivated Analyst II to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with at least one year of prior investment banking experience and a strong foundation in M&A execution. You will play a key role in live transactions, client engagements, and strategic initiatives, all within a collaborative and supportive environment that values work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the execution of M&A transactions, capital raises, and other strategic advisory assignments
• Conduct financial modeling, valuation analyses (DCF, precedent transactions, comps), and industry research
• Prepare client presentations, pitch materials, and internal reports
• Assist in due diligence processes and manage data rooms
• Collaborate directly with senior bankers and clients, gaining meaningful exposure and responsibility early on

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of prior investment banking experience, ideally with direct M&A transaction exposure
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial databases a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
