Interventional Technologist - Full Time

Department: HRH Interventional Services - Interventional Radiology

FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks).

Shift: Days. Four 10-hour shifts 7a to 5:30p.

Pay: $38.72 - $58.08 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Summary:

Join our dynamic team as an Interventional Technologist, where you will be responsible for performing imaging, diagnostic, and interventional procedures to diagnose and treat cardiac and/or vascular conditions. You will work independently and in accordance with the scope and standards of practice while embodying the values and mission of our organization.

• Required call with a goal of no more than 7 call shifts/month.
• Utilize EPIC IR Narrator for charting.
• Work with Philips imaging equipment.
• Cater to both inpatient and outpatient procedures.
• Participate in a variety of procedures including Ports, Kyphoplasty, Nephrostomy, Stroke interventions, Vascular work, Pain pump implants, Pleurex, drains, Y90, etc.
• IR currently operates one room with anticipated growth to a second room by December 2025.
• Involve collaboration with CU providers.
• Pre-Op and PACU are staffed separately at this time.
• Free parking available. No shuttle service.

Responsibilities:

• Perform duties as an expert in the field, independently managing care and preparing patients for procedures.
• Assist physicians during various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures while ensuring high-quality imaging results.
• Communicate effectively with patients to ensure their understanding and cooperation regarding procedures and equipment.
• Monitor patient conditions continually and respond appropriately to any changes in status.
• Prepare and manage equipment and supplies, troubleshoot issues, and implement safety standards.
• Employ critical thinking and decisive judgment while working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

• Registered Radiologic Technologist with ARRT certification in Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI), Cardiac Electrophysiology, or Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist.
• Minimum education requirement: High School diploma or GED; graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist ARRT program or Cardiac Technologist program.
• At least 6 months of experience with interventional procedures required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
