  Compensation: Paid internship; relocation assistance available for qualified candidates

  Eligibility: Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec 2026 through June 2028 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however, all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply.

About the Team:

The PGDx Quality Assurance Team ensures the suitability, safety and effectiveness of next generation sequencing (NGS) medical devices that are developed, manufactured and distributed from our Baltimore, MD site. We provide expertise and leadership in the areas of corrective and preventive action, manufacturing process controls, inventory management, process assurance, quality system requirements and process monitoring.

Internship Assignment Summary:

This position will work with Development, Operations, Manufacturing, and other Quality functional areas to ensure work is completed in accordance with PGDx procedures.

  Quality Engineering intern will work on the projects related to maintenance and improvement of risk management files, and engineering change controls.

  Intern will review the past complaints and utilize statistical tools to analyze the historical data.

  n

• n

  Execute project to categorize complaints by risk levels for continuous improvement.

  n

• n

  Assist quality leads to identify gaps and improve the processes as identified.

  n
n
• n

  Assist supplier quality engineer to identify gaps and maintain supplier files as needed.

  n
n
• n

  Assist in Quality Assurance, CLIA Laboratory Quality or Quality Engineering projects as needed.

  n

• n

  Participate in Post-Market Surveillance data analysis.

  n

• n

  Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.

  n

• n

  Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

n

Education/Qualifications/Skills:

n
• n

  Working towards Bachelor's degree in Sciences or Engineering.

  n
n
• n

  Interested in learning quality engineering tools and apply classroom knowledge in a fast-paced and growing industry setting.

  n

• n

  Proficient on basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office tools.

  n
n
• n

  Able to use persuasive, logical arguments based on data.

  n
n
• n

  Assist people in finding creative solutions which comply with standards and regulation or other constraints.

• n

  Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and colleagues in a professional setting.

  n

• n

Pay Range: $17-$20/hr

All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
