Interim Chief Audit & Compliance Officer Needed In Bend, Or

The position

An interim chief audit & compliance officer is needed to lead compliance and audit functions within a multi-hospital health system. Reporting to the chief legal officer, this leader will oversee a team of six fte's. Key responsibilities include assisting leadership in preparing for upcoming board committee meetings, managing internal audit and compliance staff, addressing ethics and privacy complaints, and evaluating current operations to propose and implement long-term structural improvements. The ideal candidate will have over ten years of experience in both compliance and internal audit, ideally within healthcare. Must be highly organized, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Excellent communication skills will be critical.

Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required. Certified public accountant (cpa), certified internal auditor (cia), or certified in healthcare compliance (chc) certification preferred. A minimum of ten years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare compliance and internal audit is required.

Compensation details

Compensation range: $200,000 to $210,000 annually. The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with fair market value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits. The listed base compensation range represents a good faith estimate of potential earnings at the time of this job posting and may be subject to future adjustments.
