Insurance Defense Litigation Legal Assistant
$60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in complex litigation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, proofread, and format legal documents including pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and correspondence
- File documents electronically in state and federal courts (e-filing experience required)
- Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and attorney schedules
- Coordinate depositions, client meetings, and other litigation-related activities
- Manage document production and organize case files
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, and vendors professionally and efficiently
- Handle administrative duties such as time entry, billing assistance, and expense reporting
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with firm procedures and court rules
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a litigation legal assistant, insurance defense and/or commercial litigation (strongly preferred)
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, legal document management systems, and court filing portals
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and e-filing requirements
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work independently under tight deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A team-oriented mindset with a positive, professional demeanor
