We are seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Technician to support field operations for water and wastewater construction projects. This role involves programming, troubleshooting, and repairing automation systems and mechanical equipment in the field.

Responsibilities

• Provide field programming services for SCADA and control systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical rotating equipment on active construction sites.
• Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation and control systems.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure system functionality.
• Travel throughout Oklahoma and Arkansas with overnight stays as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of service activities and system configurations.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in instrumentation, electrical systems, and Allen-Bradley PLC programming.
• Experience in automation, mechanical, and field programming.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical rotating equipment.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to work independently on construction sites.
• Experience in water/wastewater, oil & gas, HVAC, or electrical contracting.
• PLC troubleshooting and programming skills.
• Knowledge of pneumatics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in instrumentation, controls, or automation.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with SCADA platforms and PLCs.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in water/wastewater, oil & gas, HVAC, or electrical contracting is a plus.

Work Environment

This position is primarily field-based across Oklahoma and Arkansas, involving exposure to construction sites, mechanical systems, and automation equipment. The role requires independent work with support from engineering and operations teams, and occasional overnight travel with accommodations provided. Job Type & Location

This is a permanent position based out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
