Join our dynamic team as an Infrastructure Civil Engineer and play a crucial role in planning, designing, and executing innovative civil engineering projects such as roads, bridges, dams, and power plants. Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and plan diverse civil engineering projects by analyzing maps, blueprints, and geotechnical data.
• Create detailed design drawings using AutoCAD and other CAD software based on project specifications.
• Manage entire projects or specific technical processes within the civil engineering field.
• Review and approve construction submittals to ensure they match design specifications.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients to provide innovative technical solutions.
• Conduct site visits and coordinate with contractors to ensure accurate implementation of designs during construction.
• Review designs and specifications for compliance, accuracy, and feasibility.
• Perform construction site inspections to ensure adherence to standards and regulations.
• Generate technical reports, documentation, cost estimates, and regulatory submissions.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and technical staff.
• Drive process improvements and influence engineering solutions within teams.

Basic Qualifications:

• TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 4 to 8 years of relevant engineering experience (or a Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of experience). Additional experience may substitute for a degree.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD with experience in creating detailed design drawings.
• Demonstrated experience in managing infrastructure projects.
• Experience reviewing contractor submittals and working with construction teams.
• Strong grasp of geotechnical, hydrological, and structural dynamics principles.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities with a focus on developing technical solutions.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or intent to obtain it promptly.
• Experience in cost estimating and construction management tools.
• Knowledge of sustainability practices in civil engineering design.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and permitting processes.
• Experience in mentoring technical staff and influencing cross-functional teams.

Pay Range: $72,150.00 - $130,425.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline and factors such as responsibilities, experience, and knowledge are considered in offering compensation.
