At AutoNation, delivering exceptional service to our customers and key partners is our top priority. We are seeking a Paid Intern Automotive Technician Specialist, with the potential for full-time hire, to join our team onsite in Mesa, AZ. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to work with our Autonomous Vehicle Partner in a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. The internship will run from September 1 through January 2026, providing valuable experience alongside industry professionals in an innovative and fast-paced setting.

Position Overview

The Automotive Technician Specialist will be dedicated to a specialized project involving autonomous vehicles, fostering customer loyalty by building trust and ensuring confidence in AutoNation as a trusted provider of vehicle safety and reliability.

Requirements for This Job

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Prior experience as an express/quick lube technician preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency with hand tools and strong attention to detail.
• Process Adherence: Ability to follow established procedures to ensure quality and safety.
• Licensing: Must have a valid in-state driver's license with a clean and safe driving record.
• Compensation: Starting pay ranges from $22.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience.
• Schedule: Must be available to work Monday Friday, with shifts from 6:00 AM 2:30 PM or 2:00 PM 10:30 PM.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• On-the-job training will be provided in the first week of employment. Training will be Monday-Friday from 8:30am 5:00pm.
• Performing vehicle work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with customer standards.
• Communicating with Service Manager and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.

Hourly pay ranges from $22.00 - $25.00, based on experience.
