Job Summary:

The Imaging Quality Specialist plays a vital role in collecting and analyzing data to ensure our department meets high standards and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with Imaging leaders to improve operational efficiency and staff performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Imaging Leaders to manage staffing and workload to adapt to daily operational changes.
• Coordinate orientation for new staff on equipment and procedures; manage in-service education records and schedules.
• Review and follow up on sub-optimal imaging reports, guiding and retraining technologists as necessary.
• Conduct assessments and modifications to clinical education practices in assigned modalities.
• Perform imaging procedures, ensuring exceptional patient care standards.
• Consult with physician leaders regarding procedures in your assigned modalities.
• Adhere to all radiation safety protocols.
• Manage supply inventory in the Imaging Department to regulate costs effectively.
• Develop processes to maintain accreditation standards.
• Maintain a constant state of alertness to ensure a safe work environment.
• Undertake additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree.
• ARRT-R certification with a minimum of two years of experience in Radiology.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequent visual acuity for various distances and color identification.
• Excellent hearing skills for oral communication and patient monitoring.
• Lifting and moving patients and objects weighing between 0-50 lbs as required.

Certification Requirements:

• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) from the American Heart Association.
• ARRT certification in a relevant imaging modality.
