Boston West Veterinary Emergency and Specialty is seeking a full-time experienced Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our outstanding ICU team! Compensation: $30 - $40 based on knowledge & experience.

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts, including rotating weekends, and enjoy four days off each week.

What You'll Do:

• Comprehensive Care: You'll be responsible for delivering top-notch care to a diverse range of patients, including postoperative surgical patients, internal medicine cases, ICU patients, and emergency cases.
• Advanced Technical Skills: From collecting samples to administering medications and calculating dosages, your expertise will be vital in ensuring our patients receive the best treatment possible.
• Critical Thinking: As a seasoned technician, you'll triage critical cases, monitor patient vitals, and promptly report any changes in status to the attending doctor.
• Empathetic Communication: Your compassionate communication style will shine as you educate and update owners on their pet's condition and facilitate smooth patient discharges.

Requirements:

• CVT/LVT/RVT required
• VTS preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years working as a veterinary technician, preferably in ER/ICU medicine.
• Strong technical skills including department specific skills.
• Attention to detail, with strong communication skills with both clients and team members.
• Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.
