Licensed Veterinary Technician Opportunity At Vca Veterinary Emergency And Referral Center Of Westbury

Vca Veterinary Emergency and Referral Center of Westbury is growing and to better support the pets and people in our community we are in search of a licensed veterinary technician (or licensed eligible) to be a part of our growing ER/ICU hospital team!

Compensation: $29 $37 / hour based on skill set, and licensure status (LVT)

Potential Schedule: Full time- Weekday swing shifts and Weekend day and night shifts - depending on hospital needs but can discuss

ICU Licensed Veterinary Technician Duties:

• Procedural anesthesia monitoring
• Ability to calculate drug doses
• Full Technician Skill Utilization
• Collecting patient histories & thorough physical exams
• Venipuncture / IVC placement
• Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)
• Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
• Providing compassionate care for all patients
• Imaging and advanced procedures
