Job Description

Specific Job Responsibilities

Effectively troubleshoot and repair HVAC Systems

Properly evacuate and charge HVAC systems using vacuum pumps, refrigeration gauges, and refrigerant scales.

Measure, bend, and braze copper tubing and fitting from " to 1-?" inch diameter

A test with tube bending and brazing, will be required.

Must be able to read and understand refrigeration and electrical diagrams and schematics for proper plumbing routing and component identification.

Understanding of sheet metal fabrication, hole drilling, deburring, rivet and rivnut installation, dimensional measuring, and blueprint reading.

Minimum Requirements

Working knowledge of refrigerant systems using R-22, R134A, R407. The ability to troubleshoot and monitor air conditioner and heaters

Have experience in brazing tubing from capillary to 1 1/8 inch Diameter. A test with tube bending and brazing, will be required.

Read and Understand refrigeration schematics.

Must have an EPA certification

Basic knowledge of sheet metal fabrication.

Experience and understanding of electrical schematics.

Have advanced troubleshooting skills.

Knowledge of wire stripping, crimping and sizing.

Experience with HI and Low voltage components.

Experience with working on equipment with Military or Aerospace applications and workmanship requirements.

Welding Experience is a plus.

Mandatory - U.S. citizen or permanent resident (Green Card holders) due to Government ITAR regulations.

Key Relationships

The HVAC Technician reports directly to the Manufacturing Manager. Plumber Assemblers are expected to work and coordinate with the Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering departments.
