HVAC And Refrigeration Technician

Technical Qualifications & Certifications

• EPA Section 608 Certification (Required by federal law in the U.S. to handle refrigerants)
• HVAC Technical Training/Degree (Trade school diploma or associate degree in HVAC or mechanical engineering technology)
• State or Local HVAC License

Experience

• Experience in the field (25 years)
• Experience with Specific Systems (commercial, split systems, VRF/VRV, heat pumps, etc.) Lenux, Trane
• Installation, Maintenance, and Repair Skills of HVAC and refrigeration equipment (furnaces, air conditioners, ductwork, thermostats, refrigerators and freezers, etc.)
• Troubleshooting and Diagnostics (ability to identify and resolve complex HVAC and refrigeration issues)

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of HVAC Codes & Regulations and being knowledgeable in refrigeration and freezer Equipment
• Proficient with Tools & Equipment (gauges, multimeters, leak detectors)
• Ability to Read Technical Diagrams
• Familiarity with Smart HVAC Systems (smart thermostats, EKTOS, Trane, etc.)
• Basic Electrical and Plumbing Knowledge

• Problem-Solving Ability
• Reliability & Punctuality
• Attention to Detail
• Physical Fitness (ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined or high spaces)

• Comfort With Using Digital Tools (e.g., service apps, tablets for work orders)
